GROWDEN FAMILY CEMETERY

The Growden Cemetery is located on the west side of Growden road (T334), which runs north and south
along the west side of Lake Gordon and Koon Lake in Cumberland Valley Twp. It is a beautiful location,
especially on a bright Spring day when the dogwoods are in bloom.

The cemetery is placed on a slight rise above the road level and is encircled by a split rail fence
and identified with a large rock (in the foreground) inscribed:

John Wesley Growden (Nov. 25, 1833 - Feb. 25, 1913)
married Sarah Dicken. John Wesley is a son of John M. Growden.

Sarah - his wife - 1842 - 1915

Can someone give anymore details about Isaac and his family?
I have an Isaac Wigfield (ca.1838- unk), married a Charlot (unk). Issue: unk. This Isaac is the son of
Joseph and Mary Perdew / Wigfield. Joseph had a brother, Benjamin Wigfield, who married Rebecca Blair (her second husband). Rebecca was an older sister to Sarah, wife of John M. Growden Sr. (below).

Thomas Lakin Growden Dec. 7, 1829 - May 13, 1863 (dates from Sylvia H. Reebel), was also a son of John M. Growden. He married Rebecca Simons in 1853, and served in the military during the Civil War.

John M. Growden Sr. (Sept. 5, 1797 - Aug. 16, 1883) and his younger brother Thomas, both married
daughters of Brice Blair II (July 21, 1762 - Oct. 26, 1813) and his wife, Nancy McCoy, who farmed land,
just south of Bean's Cove, Southampton Twp, Bedford Co, PA that he inherited from his father, Brice Blair I.
